RecoveryAyr is a Grassroots recovery group in South Ayrshire offering peer led support and activities.
Meet Our Team
The majority of our team are in recovery or have family members affected by drugs or alcohol. Each member brings a broad range of lived and professional experience. We have over 10 employees and over 35 volunteers.
Most of our drop-in groups are located at our hub, @48 (located in Newmarket Street, Ayr). Our groups are open for anyone affected by their (or someone they loves) drug/alcohol use.
ONE-TO-ONE SUPPORT
Aside from group support, we are also able to offer one-to-one peer support for those who don't feel like a group setting would be beneficial in this part of their recovery.
VIEW VOLUNTEERING
VIEW Volunteering Programme has been running since July 2021. The programme is designed to help those in recovery from substance misuse, and family members, bring structure to their week, gain confidence and self esteem through meeting others, peer conversations, learning new skills, finding purpose and helping others.
CAFE HOPE
Our volunteer led recovery café offers a safe alcohol and drug free community space for individuals, families and the local community to come together, providing a range of activities and offering a great affordable menu of freshly cooked food.
Structured Groups, Training
We have multiple different structured groups and programmes, some of which being Connect-Grow-Live, Steps for Change, The Volunteer Peer Worker Projects and Stepping Stones
EVENTS
Events like Café Hope Birthday Celebrations, our Recovery Festival, and Recovery Walks unite the recovery community, offering support and connection.
