Girvan and Carrick Groups

RecoveryAyr is dedicated to supporting the rural communities, having multiple groups out with the town of Ayr. We understand the challenges faced in these areas and have peer support workers located in both Girvan and Maybole.

Woman Support

Many people may prefer women-only support in recovery because it creates a safe, empathetic environment where they can openly discuss gender-specific challenges. Women often find it easier to connect and share their experiences with other woman.

Volunteering

VIEW Volunteering Programme has been running since July 2021. The programme is designed to help those in recovery from substance misuse, and family members, bring structure to their week, gain confidence and self esteem through meeting others, peer conversations, learning new skills, finding purpose and helping others.

Family Support

Family support is extremely important within recovery, at RecoveryAyr we have specific members of the team that specialise in support for family's who's loved ones are going through addiction.

LGBTQ+ Support

Those who are in the LGBTQ+ community are often impacted by their or someone else's drug & alcohol use.

Justice Support

Current or past involvement with the justice services. Our peer-led group P.I.N.G. aims to support people by addressing issues with offending behaviour and addiction and provide opportunities to progress onto training and further education.
